Having a keen interest in art, Rick very quickly developed his skills for art from a very young age.
Rick is a self taught artist with a wide repertoire from portrait, landscape, wildlife, animals and abstract. You can see a variety of his pictures in the store above.

As well as being an artist. Rick also teaches student particularly GCSE, A-Level and Degree. Rick will take you all the way through the learning process.
Starting with learning how to draw, his students learn how to set out a drawing, learn how to use light and dark, how to create the dimensions of the subject, whether it is an animal, portrait or anything else.
Rick will teach you how to use focal points, how to use colour, how to mix colour, how use colour combinations, complementary colours, how to use the brush, types of brushes to use.
He will teach you how to paint any kind of scenery, from portraits and animals to landscapes and abstract painting.
Basically Rick will take you from start to finish on a comprehensive course in drawing and painting wildlife, using a choice of oils, acrylics, charcoal, pencil and pastel.

HOW TO DRAW - COURSE CONTENT
During the course, you will:
- Get things started with warm-up exercises – we’ll start with some quick sketches
- Work with still-life set pieces – you can bring your own objects if you wish
- Develop different techniques with different materials
- Basic perspective and proportions
- Explore the different qualities of pencil, charcoal and pastels
- Receive guidance and feedback the whole way
Charcoal and pastel can be messy, so bring a protective apron (there will be a few available for those who have come straight from work), or wear washable clothes!
